Ladies and gentlemen,
We raised over $2000 in honor of Robbie Greenberger. Over $2000. My original goal was $500 and I thought that was going to be too much to ask of people. You surprised and thrilled me beyond belief. I'm going to announce the prizewinners later this week, possibly tonight if I get my work done early enough, probably sometime Thursday.
In the meantime, a huge thank you to all the people who donated prizes, including Karen, Sheri from The Loopy Ewe, Knitty K8, Nea, Susan, and Aija from Zero Stitchmarkers. Thank you to Anne from Knitspot, Aija from Sock Pr0n and Rachael from Yarn-a-Go-Go for the shout-outs.
And yes, a huge thank you to all who reached into their pockets and donated. The kid doesn't know we did this for him and I intend to tell him when I see him in a few weeks. I will report back. He's currently back in the hospital for round two after a very successful round one and we got the results back yesterday that told us that he is in fact definitely kicking ass like I predicted. Keep sending those jokes to him at penguin_berger@hotmail.com, the effects of the second round of chemo will be kicking in soon and he'll need all the jokes he can get.

I'm so proud of you for raising all that money, and so proud of him for kicking ass!!!! Hurray! So the yarn got to you okay? Like I said, sorry I didn't get it there sooner, but I'm glad it made it in the nick of time.
Can't wait to hear how he reacts! Yay!
Go Robbie! And go Big Sis for looking out for him!
